This wasn’t my first time eating here, I went here more than 2 years ago. Savana’s gives lunch specials from Monday to Saturday till 4pm at the cost of $13.90.
The chicken sandwich was big and the chicken was big. A bit big for my mouth, I’m sure for any mouth, so you’ll be using knives and forks. I mean, you’d expect it to be easier to eat such a big sandwich with forks and knives, but even then the food was falling out of the sandwich. I’m not sure if it’s a good thing that it was big but the chicken was delicious. It was moist and soft. Although I didn’t really enjoy the avocado dip, the sour cream they used took over the avocado flavour and it became green sour cream. The turkish bread was alright, it wasn’t soft or hard or crunchy, a bit chewy, so it meant they didn’t toast it enough. The chips were nice, not too oily which was good.
The pasta was alright, the shredded cheese was nice and really gave the dish flavour. You’d expect the pasta to be the most dominant, however it was really creamy and the sun-dried tomato and cheese really cut through this. The pesto went really creamy as the sauce. As you can see from the picture, there was not a lot of tomato and most was pasta and creamy sauce.
