iHop (Caifornia) {food}

After taking a nice, long walk on the pier at Huntington Beach, we really needed some food, so it was time to choose which restaurant.

Other restaurants were full so we decided to head to iHop instead to avoid the wait. As it was the least packed, we didn’t expect too much. Los Angeles is a very affordable place. With an average salary earned in Australia, you’ll be able to budget well for a trip in LA, but I found restaurants around the beach were just as expensive as Sydney’s own. Food comes to about $10-$15 a meal which is pretty pricey compared to others. I haven’t explored much but I found it expensive since everything I saw here was already cheap enough.

As I mentioned, it was quiet so there were barely anyone in the restaurant. Since it was quite hot, we decided to dine outside under the nice sun.

The restaurant offered a great amount of different dishes but they were all fairly similar.

The burger was quite standard, bacon was quite oily, chicken was pretty dry but the chips were okay. They did remind me of Red Lea’s chips which was quite a good reminder. But the bread wasn’t crunchy so I didn’t quite enjoy it. I think I preferred only the chips.
